Match AI Mode to Task Context
“Use directive mode when you know exactly what you want; use collaborative mode when you want to discover what's possible.”
AI systems should clearly distinguish between directive mode (precise, constrained execution) and collaborative mode (creative, exploratory partnership) — and users must be able to switch between them based on task context. The active mode should be obvious and consistently maintained.
